I come from a long line of seamstresses and I have been sewing since I was young. I also have a great love of all crafts.
I was born and raised in Maine and historically going North during logging season was called travelling "Up Country".
Northern Maine is still called Up Country by many. It's a beautiful place to be. People still live simply making do and doing
for themselves. Sewing and crafting is a way to achieve having and having something to do.
So "UpCountry Crafts" is my way of honoring all those here in Maine who make do with what they have.
